A back injury can be due to a muscle or soft tissue injury, a break in the bone, or an underlying medical condition. Depending on the nature of the back injury, paralysis (inability to move) can result. Back injuries can arise from traumas such as car accidents, falls, fights with other animals, genetic defects, and physical abuse. Seek veterinary attention immediately.
