Nosebleeds or epistaxis (bleeding from the nose) can be due to a number of things but are most commonly seen after motor vehicle accidents and falls. Other causes of nosebleed are foreign bodies, tumors, infectious agents, rat poisons, drugs, and underlying medical problems such as a bleeding disorder.

Symptoms

Steps
1   Keep your cat as calm as possible so that she does not shake her head or drip blood around
2   ) If you know that your cat's nosebleed was caused by a bump in the nose or not by something more serious then apply a cold wet washcloth to her nose and then an icepack over it for 10 min on and 15 min off, and repeat a couple times if needed
3   If her nose keeps bleeding for more than 20 min take her to the vet to have her checked out
Warnings
If you do not know what caused the nose bleeding take her to the vet
DO NOT apply the ice pack directly to the nose
DO NOT tilt your cat’s head up to stop the bleeding
DO NOT place anything up the cat’s nostrils to stop bleeding
Tips

Keep your cat calm and still to give the chance for a clot to form
