Ticks are a type of parasite that bite and bury their heads beneath the skin to suck blood. The reason why ticks are dangerous is that they carry microorganisms which can be transferred into the blood and make your pet even more sick. Ticks are commonly found around the face, ears, muzzle, neck and shoulders. Check your pet’s body all over for anything that feels and looks suspicious. It is crucial to remove the tick from your pet as soon as possible. If your pet develops any of the symptoms below after tick removal, seek immediate veterinary attention.
