Bleeding Gums

Any break in the gums or periodontal disease can cause bleeding gums. Depending on how severe the break in the gum line is and how deep it is will determine the amount of bleeding. It is essential to stop the bleeding or slow it down with pressure until it stops or get medical help.

Steps
1   Use an ice-pack to reduce swelling and apply pressure on gums to stop bleeding.
2   Rinse mouth with a spoonful of salt in lukewarm water to help healing.
3   Swish around in your mouth before spitting out and do this every day after you brush your teeth
4   If bleeding persists and you cannot control the bleeding seek medical assistance.
Warnings
DO NOT take any aspirin
Tips
Rinse twice a day to help healing.
Use a soft bristled toothbrush
